Professor Cecilia Chan delivered a keynote address at the AI in Education Seminar Series on 22 November 2025. The seminar was co-organised by the Education Bureau, Hong Kong Education City, and Cyberport, bringing together stakeholders to explore the role of artificial intelligence in shaping the future of education.

In her keynote, entitled “Educational Ecology: Co-creating the Future of Education with Artificial Intelligence,” Professor Chan examined how educators can adapt to the AI era by rethinking teaching models and leveraging AI to enhance learning outcomes. She also highlighted the importance of fostering innovation and critical thinking as integral components of future-oriented education.

Dr Jeff Sze, Under Secretary for Education, underscored the significance of cross-sector collaboration, particularly partnerships with technology enterprises, in supporting the implementation of AI education across Hong Kong through the provision of high-quality shared resources for schools.

The seminar provided a valuable platform for educators, policymakers, and industry partners to exchange insights and strengthen collaborations, contributing to the development of a vibrant and sustainable digital education ecosystem in Hong Kong.
