ICESML 2025: Prof. Cecilia Chan Shares AI-Driven Vision for Future Education

On May 23, 2025, Prof. Cecilia Chan delivered a keynote address at the 4th International Conference on Educational System Management Leadership. Welcomed by the Ministry of Education, Thailand, and Dr. Yotsawee Saifah, Dean of Education at Chulalongkorn University, she delved into critical topics such as AI-giarism, AI guilt, and AI literacy, exploring their impact on the educational landscape. 

The discussions that followed emphasized a collective commitment to innovation in education. Prof. Jeremy Knox from the University of Oxford also presented on “Collaborative Design for AI and Education: Shaping a future of participation, equity, and inclusion in education.” Prof. Chan gave her heartfelt thanks to Porametyhr Charoynoot and the esteemed organizers in Thailand for fostering vibrant dialogues. Prof. Chan looks forward to continuing the conversation on AI and education, harnessing technology’s potential to create inclusive and effective learning environments. 

During her visit to Thailand, Prof. Chan also supported the HKU Admission Office, alongside Prof. Bennett Yim and Esther Kwok, at their Open Day. “Engaging with prospective students and discussing the future of education proved a rewarding experience,” Prof. Chan expected more opportunities to engage with educators globally, exploring AI in shaping the future of education.
