AI Workshop for Hong Kong Secondary School Teachers – Second Session (14 October 2025)

On Tuesday, 14 October 2025, Professor Cecilia Chan and Ms Cailing Gao led a second session of the AI in Education Lab’s AI workshop at The University of Hong Kong. The session equipped a new group of secondary science teachers and leaders with practical strategies for integrating generative AI into science education.

Building on the success of the September workshop, this session revisited key applications of tools like Gemini and ChatGPT in science education, while incorporating participant-driven discussions on real-world classroom implementation.

Teachers once again explored ethical considerations and best practices for AI adoption in schools, with an emphasis on responsible use and critical AI literacy. The AI in Education Lab team also shared updated examples of how AI can enhance student engagement in science subjects.

Many attendees left with plans to trial AI tools in their own classrooms, reinforcing the growing demand for such professional development among Hong Kong educators.
