AI Literacy Course
Our team is dedicated to developing a variety of engaging courses for AI in education and AI literacy. Multiple institutions and schools, such as HKU, St. Margaret’s Co-Ed School, St. Stephen’s Girls’ College, YMCA of Hong Kong Christian College, Yew Chung International School, and St. Paul’s College, have already adopted our AI literacy courses, recognising the transformative potential of AI in education.
These courses serve as a resource for students and teachers seeking to deepen their understanding of AI, its implications within education, and its capacity to revolutionise teaching and learning experiences. Through a dynamic blend of engaging video lectures, interactive activities, and assessments, participants delve into key AI concepts, including Generative AI (GenAI), real-world applications of AI in education, challenges and advantages of AI technologies, and more.

「『智』為學理」教育計劃
AI for Science Education Programme
計劃簡介
我們的AI科學教育計劃呼應教育局的「『智』為學理」撥款計劃（EDBCM 第 227/2024 號），旨在賦能中學教師，滿足人工智能時代的教學需求。
「人工智能初中科學科教育計劃」包含一系列網上課程、專題講座、工作坊及校本支援，針對香港科學課程設計，因地制宜，為教師提供實操性強的學習體驗。
在國際知名AI教育專家陳嘉玉教授的帶領下，該計劃分為兩部分：
A 計劃: 人工智能短期課程
人工智能短期課程通過一系列自主進度的網上課程、專題講座及訓練工作坊，為中學科學科教師提供全面、專業的人工智能培訓。
★每所學校最多可提名8名教師報名參加。
6小時 網上人工智能課程
涵蓋AI教育、AI倫理、AI評估與AI素養框架，並提供初中科學課實踐活動。教師可根據個人時間靈活自主地安排學習進度，無固定上課時間。
12場 人工智能專題講座
由多位業界合作伙伴、業界專家、港大及其他國際頂尖大學教授主持，涵蓋多個AI教育及科學教學相關主題，包括AI驅動的評估、AI數據訓練等。
2小時 工作坊：教師專用AI工具
介紹各類AI應用程式，如影片生成、數據分析、教學設計、 學習輔助與行政任務，包括實際示範與教學情境演練，幫助教師有效使用AI工具與教學實操。
地點：
①網上人工智能課程：線上學習平台 。
②人工智能專題講座：線下/ZOOM 。
③工作坊：港大校園，具體信息將於日後公佈。
B 計劃: 校本支援 AI 學與教
本團隊將聯同業界合作伙伴為參與學校提供校本支援服務，通過工作坊引導教師探索開源AI模型與AI驅動機器人在科學教學中的實踐應用。
該部分將由 1 至 2 名擁有博士和/或理工學相關學士學位的導師到校提供支援。
★無人數報名限制，學生可於校本支援服務期間一同參與課堂活動。
3小時 x 2場 工作坊
工作坊一 - 機器學習（Teachable Machine）：探索圖像分類模型（如Teachable Machine），協助教師體驗及掌握教學中的實際應用技巧。
工作坊二 - AI與5G物聯網教學應用：探索AI與物聯網的教學整合，在實踐活動中獲得動態的科學教育學習體驗，增強教師在教學中運用技巧的能力。
LLM 大語言模型
我們的團隊將會協助安裝AI教育實驗室自主研發的大語言模型。如參與學校選擇安裝該大語言模型，可替換兩場工作坊中的其中一項。
博覽會/會議
在項目結束時，教師可通過網絡或其他途徑，展示AI結合初中科學課程的項目成果。
時間：參與學校可根據日程自由安排時間，最早可於2025年7月開始。
地點：我們的團隊與業界合作夥伴將親臨參與學校的校園，提供現場支援。

報名遵循先到先得原則，因此，我們鼓勵您盡快與我們聯繫，報名本次計劃。此外，我們亦鼓勵學校利用教育局的「『智』為學理」(EDBCM No. 227/2024) 撥款來支付計劃費用。
所有參與教師皆可獲頒結業證書。若學校完成「A：短期課程」及「B：校本支援」兩項計劃，將可獲得以下成果：

獲贈一部AI機器人，供學校開放日展示使用；

可提名教師或學生參與於港大校園內舉辦的實體機器人工作坊，運用 Raspberry Pi 親手組裝並編程機器人；

獲授予「AI教育實驗室夥伴」牌匾，以彰顯合作關係。
此外，完成A與B計劃亦已符合教育局對參與學校所要求的三項基本計劃成果，無需另行提交其他證明。

Enrolment and Contact:
Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Schools are strongly encouraged to utilise the Education Bureau's "AI for Science Education" Funding Programme (EDBCM No. 227/2024) to cover programme fees.
All participating teachers will receive a Certificate of Completion. Schools that complete both Part A and Part B will also receive an AI robot for Open Day events and an “HKU AI in Education Lab Partner” plaque. Completing both parts of the programme will enable participants to fulfil the EDB’s three required deliverables.

AI STEAM Course
Led by Professor Chan, our team is also developing professional development courses to assist teachers in integrating artificial intelligence (AI) into their teaching, learning, and assessment practices. Our upcoming STEAM-focused AI course will be developed in collaboration with industry partners and international organisations. This course will be designed to empower educators with fundamental knowledge and comprehension of AI, preparing them to navigate the integration of AI into their classrooms and teaching methodologies.
Building upon the foundational AI literacy courses, the forthcoming professional development course will deliver hands-on training tailored to incorporating subject-specific AI tools into classroom instruction, learning activities, and assessments. This hybrid course will equip educators with the requisite knowledge and competencies to harness AI effectively within educational environments, thereby enhancing student learning outcomes and fostering a culture of innovative teaching practices.
